Customers rave about the delicious dishes at Honest. Reviewers highlight favorites like the Bhel, Schezwan rice, Manchurian, Pav Bhaji, and Mixed Uthappam. The special Pav Bhaji is a must-try, with its buttery goodness and perfect spice level. The Mixed Uthappam is packed with fresh vegetables and accompanied by tasty chutneys. Although the Spring Dosa might not be as exceptional, the other dishes receive high praises for their flavors and quality.
The ambiance at Honest is family-friendly, with enough seating for groups and celebrations. The restaurant can get busy, especially on weekends, but the satisfying food is worth the wait. The service may be a bit slow at times, but the friendly staff and welcoming atmosphere make up for it.

This restaurant boasts a great location and an inviting ambiance. The service was decent, though there's room for improvement in attentiveness. The food was enjoyable; we had the Bhel, Schezwan rice, and Manchurian, all of which were flavorful and well-prepared. We also tried the tea and cold coffee, which were decent. Overall, it was a positive experience, with a pleasant atmosphere and satisfying food.
My favorite Indian street food restaurant. The pani puri, vegetable sandwich, masala papad and bhakhri pizza are among my favorites. Can't go wrong with much on this menu. Great for vegetarians. Service is quick and ambiance is nice.
Excellent sandwiches, very good chaat. Can be a bit slow at times, but the food makes up for it.
Honest is an Indian vegetarian chain restaurant across the world. Started in Gujarat, Honest is well-known for the special Pav Bhaji. Around Chicago, there are multiple locations in the suburbs and conveniently, the restaurant is usually located next to an Indian grocery store (Patel Brothers). The restaurant has enough seating to host family dinners and birthday parties with a casual vibe and people usually walk in. If you go on a weekend, be prepared for it to be crowded, and loud, and for the service to be on the slower side. Many times, you might have to go up to the counter to request extra plates/chutneys, etc. The ambiance is very much family oriented with groups of all ages, which can also mean crying children at times. We ordered Honest Special Pav Bhaji, Mysore Dosa, Spring Dosa, and Mixed Uthappam. Starting with the Pav Bhaji, the taste lives up to the hype with a butter layer. It is medium spice, and the quantity is plenty for 2 people. Next: Mixed Uthappam is made of fresh finely chopped vegetables and comes with sambhar, white, and red chutneys. The sambhar could be a hit or miss depending on the day, but the chutneys are always on point. The Uthappam itself was well flavored and combined with the chutneys, the dish really delivers. Out of all the dishes, my least favorite was the spring dosa. The presentation was beautiful; however, the taste was mediocre. Spring dosa is a twist to the authentic dosa with vegetable mix, which is unique but still prefers the regular Mysore masala dosa. Overall, I would rate the food that is very reasonably priced a 9/10. If you are making a trip to the Chicago suburbs and craving good Indian food, I would highly recommend this restaurant.
I absolutely love Honest for the chaat and Indian street food! I have been to this place several times and look forward to the dine-in experience every single time. However, I am not a big fan of carry out from this place. Indian street food is best eaten hot or crisp or basically on the spot. The food gets cold and soggy and disappointing by the time you bring it home. My two fav things to eat here are Bahubali sandwich and Dhabeli. Pricing is affordable and quantities are filling. There is plenty of parking on the side and in front of the restaurant location.
Came in one evening to try a dosa. The inside of the restaurant was very clean and very bright. You order as soon as you walk in and than get seated which is kinda of weird to me. So I walked in and placed an order for Masala Dosa and was seated. It was warm and so good! 10/10 They serve no meat items! So a friendly vegetarian restaurant!
